A Note from the President
The summer statistics show that we have had a steady summer
of sales in the Bonita Springs-Estero market. We have already
finished up the third quarter of 2018 and before you know it season
will be upon us. The 2019 Board of Directors slate was passed at
the September voting breakfast and we are excited about our new
leaders; Directors Hunter Habib and Patrick McGuire. Thank you
to Roger Brunswick and Jeff Tiefenbach for their years of service
on the board.
The Bonita Springs-Estero REALTORS® Board of Directors have
been vetting and evaluating new products and services to add value to your mem-
bership. If you haven’t already downloaded the Homesnap Pro app, don’t delay. This
product is extremely mobile friendly and allows correspondence with your clients on
the go. We also have made the decision based on popular demand to switch from the
Centralized Showing Services to Showingtime. If you haven’t had a chance to check out
the upgraded Realtor Store, stop by and look around.
I urge you to educate yourself and inform your clients about Amendment 2. Amendment
2 gives voters the opportunity to make a 10% cap on annual non-homestead property tax
increases permanent. Prior to the tax cap, property owners experienced extremely elevat-
ed tax bills. “Everybody is for Amendment 2, because Amendment 2 is for everybody”.
We do have Amendment 2 yard signs available for you to pick up at the board office.
Lastly, don’t forget that the NAR cycle for Code of Ethics ends on December 31st. Make
sure that you sign up for one of the many ethics classes offered by the board.
It is a pleasure to serve as your 2018 President, please remember that we are a resource
