RPAC is how REALTORS® protect property rights, strengthen homeownership, and keep real estate policy grounded in what consumers and communities actually need. In 2025, REALTOR® advocacy delivered real, measurable wins — especially here in Florida — and that’s exactly why Bonita Springs–Estero REALTORS® is introducing a new “Top Producers” perk for members who step up as RPAC Major Investors.
Major Investors already receive meaningful recognition and benefits at the state and national level. Now, we’re adding a local layer that ties advocacy impact to professional visibility — and gives our leading producers an additional way to stand out for supporting the future of homeownership.

Why RPAC Matters: Florida-First Wins in 2025
RPAC powers REALTOR® advocacy that shows up consistently — in committee rooms, in negotiations, and in the laws and policies that shape the housing market. Florida’s 2025 legislative session produced several REALTOR® priority outcomes that support consumers, strengthen communities, and improve the environment for housing and business across the state.
Florida wins that impacted housing, consumers, and communities
Here are a few of the most notable Florida-focused wins from 2025 that reflect the kind of policy work RPAC supports:
- Business cost relief: Florida eliminated the Business Rent Tax on commercial leases, removing a cost that affected many Florida businesses and local economies.
- Support for first-time and workforce buyers: Additional investment was directed to Florida’s Hometown Heroes Housing Program, helping eligible working Floridians pursue homeownership.
- Affordable housing tools strengthened: Significant funding continued for state and local housing programs that support down payment assistance, workforce housing, and affordable rental development.
- Storm resilience and insurance pressure relief: Expanded funding supported home and condominium hardening programs that help reduce risk and protect property.
- Water quality and resilience investment: Florida continued major investments in restoration and water quality projects that protect long-term quality of life and community stability.
- Condo transaction transparency: Updates improved access to important condominium information to support more informed decisions.
- Flood risk transparency improvements: Policy updates strengthened disclosure expectations, helping consumers better understand property risk.
- Property rights protections: Measures strengthened tools for owners dealing with unauthorized occupancy in certain scenarios.
RPAC is a long game — steady, consistent advocacy that protects homeownership, property rights, and a healthy housing ecosystem in Florida and nationwide.
These wins aren’t abstract. They affect buyer confidence, long-term housing stability, storm resilience, and the costs that impact transactions — from condo due diligence to flood awareness to the broader business environment that supports job growth in our communities.
National Advocacy Wins in 2025
RPAC’s reach isn’t just Tallahassee — it’s Washington, D.C., too. In 2025, REALTOR® advocacy helped advance and defend priorities that directly touch real estate professionals and consumers nationwide.
Protecting homeowner and small-business tax provisions
Federal tax policy can change the math for homeowners, independent contractors, and housing investment. In 2025, REALTOR® advocacy helped protect key provisions important to real estate and small businesses, including long-standing benefits used by homeowners and the real estate economy, while pushing back against proposals that would have increased transaction friction or reduced investment activity.
Keeping opportunities open for veterans
Veterans and active-duty buyers deserve the ability to compete fairly in the marketplace. National REALTOR® efforts in 2025 supported policy outcomes that help protect veterans’ access to representation in VA-backed transactions, strengthening consumer choice and fairness.
Maintaining the independent contractor model (ongoing priority)
The independent contractor model is central to how most REALTORS® operate their businesses. In 2025, REALTOR® advocacy continued pressing for clarity and consistency on federal labor policy so the real estate business model remains protected and workable for professionals and consumers alike.
