It is with great honor and enthusiasm that I assume the role of Bonita Springs – Estero Realtor Board President for the year 2024. I am truly grateful for the trust you have placed in me to lead our board, and I am excited to share the vision I have for our collective journey in the coming year: “Ignite Your Light – Do More in 2024.”
This theme is a call to action for each of us as board members, starting with ourselves. How can we make a meaningful difference in our careers and contribute to the betterment of our community? The answer lies in continuous improvement—both in our knowledge of the market and our skillset within the industry. Additionally, active community involvement through volunteering allows us to extend our impact beyond the professional realm.
My passion has always been centered around giving back to our industry. Over the past 12+ years, I have been involved in various capacities in real estate education, an endeavor that has been among the most fulfilling in my career. Some of you may know me from past training sessions I’ve hosted throughout Southwest Florida. What fewer may be aware of is my extensive experience serving on real estate boards for over 16 years. Having been licensed in North Carolina since 2005, I’ve served as a committee member, board of director, and officer of multiple boards, culminating in the privilege of being the Board President of the Asheville Board of Realtors in 2013. These experiences have laid the foundation for the journey we embark on over the next 12 months.
I am committed to representing you in a professional manner at all National, State, and Local functions. Alongside our dedicated officers and Board of Directors, we recognize that our role is to lead our board to new levels of success. My personal goal is to witness each of you thrive to the level of your aspirations and achieve the career you’ve always imagined.
I extend special recognition to Meighan Harris, our board’s CEO, for the unwavering support along this journey. I also express my gratitude to Angie Parker, the 2023 President, for her incredible assistance in the past year. Your knowledge and vision are invaluable to everyone around you. I would like to acknowledge the incredible real estate company I work for, which has graciously allowed me the time to serve as your Board President. Last but not least, I want to thank Bo, my partner of almost 27 years. Without his support, I could not make this level of commitment to serve.
Here’s to a year of growth, collaboration, and collective achievement.
Warm regards,
– Mark Ledbetter, 2024 BER President
